I’m seriously in need of some Vitamin D and I’m not talking about the pill variety. Sunshine I need sunshine!!!
But now for some good news, the days are getting longer so we finally get some extra daylight which makes me happy.
We all need Vitamin D for healthy bones and although it’s naturally occurring in some foods, like salmon, sardines, egg yolks and orange juice, the best way to get a fix is from sun exposure and all we need is 10 minutes of the good stuff a day. Vitamin D helps fight depression and can aid in weight loss and a lack of it can cause tiredness, aches, pains and muscle and bone weakness.
The government would recommend that we can take a vitamin supplement in the winter when natural daylight is limited. In the meantime, I am going to look at getting a sunshine holiday booked…
