Mind health has really featured heavily in the press in recent weeks mainly thanks to some high profile individuals coming out and speaking both openly and honestly about their struggles with mental health.
Finally, it seems that there is no shame in admitting that you are or that you have struggled with anxiety, stress, depression, post natal depression or menopause depression and low moods.
Whilst many of us focus on physical strength and health and fitness we often neglect our mind health, the glue that keeps EVERYTHING together.
I have talked a lot about the positive benefits of exercise, the endorphins and serotonin are literally natural anti depressants that relieve stress, improve memory, help better sleep patterns and generally improve overall mood. Good nutrition will also help towards good mind health by avoiding highs and lows from eating the wrong things.
Take control of your mind health and improve your quality of life.
“it is exercise alone that supports the spirits and keeps the mind in vigour.” Marcus Tullius Cicero.
