Show your cupboards some love. They need some TLC after years of neglect. I am not talking about giving them a lick of paint or new door handles but taking a look inside and overhauling the contents.
Everyone is talking about the danger of sugar and how it is affecting our health and not to mention the health and teeth of our children. How many of you know about the many hidden sugars there are in some of your everyday staple store cupboard ingredients? I am not talking about the obvious sugar in biscuits cakes and chocolate but the ones added to things like ketchup, packet sauces, tins of baked beans, mayonnaise, salad dressings, jars of pasta sauce and tins of soups to name but a few.
Don’t be fooled by the “low fat” labels “20% less sugar” this isn’t an indicator that the product doesn’t still have an unhealthy amount of sugar. The government RDA (recommended daily allowance) of sugar consumption for women is around 25 gms and 36 gms for men.
The food industry have wised up to our concerns about sugar content so now cleverly disguise the sugar content on labels with weird and wonderful names such as dextrose, fructose and sucrose. Learn to read food labels and be mindful of what you are buying.
So let’s show the cupboards and yourself some love ❤️❤️❤️
Over the next few weeks I will teach you how to avoid the sugary s**t and make sensible sugar swaps a kinda Sugar Swap Shop…

My cupboard is always filled with junk, I really need to start thinking about what I put in there!
