If there is such a thing, I am definitely a Coco-Nut.  A slight obsession of mine and I simply can’t get enough of it.

Coconut, for those of you that don’t know (where have you been???) is so versatile and has so many uses.  You may have seen from my posts, I buy a super size monster tub of the good stuff.  I use it as a moisturiser, for baking, cooking, making my chocolate and sweet treats and as a hair treatment.

My morning ritual always includes a teaspoon of oil added to my oats or coffee.
There are HUGE benefits associated with this wonderful real “superfood” and studies have shown that consuming between 15 and 30 grammes of coconut oil a day can increase calories burned by 5% in a 24 hour period which can lead to significant weight loss long term.  It can also help in reducing hunger another aid in weight loss.

It is said that the oil can help brain function, help improve blood cholesterol levels and can help reduce seizures.  It can also be used as a sunscreen as it has a natural SPF.

If I ever get stranded on a desert island, I pray that it is on an island full of coconut trees, happy days!!!
